Who is Her?
Launching Monthly!
We are so excited to launch our monthly HERblog designed to encourage all women on their journey of faith!
We want to inspire, encourage, challenge and equip you to grow deeper in your relationship with God.
My name is Leigh and I am one of the Pastors here at Eastlake, but I am much more than that ;).
My husband and I took over leading the church from his parents in 2019, and well… it’s been a journey, but we love having you along the ride with us!
Hertime began in 2004, in a small tin shed, birthed out of a dream from a warrior woman of faith (my beautiful mother in law, Bron). Women would gather from our city to worship and be encouraged together, and it’s been growing ever since!
We gather together once a year. You know… there is something powerful when women are in one room lifting the name of Jesus, celebrating each other!
You’re invited to our next gathering, Tuesday 18th October, we can’t wait for Ps. Sharon Chelliah from Centrepoint Church to be with us so make sure you grab a ticket!
So… Who is HER? Who are you?
If you listen to the Word and don’t live out the message you hear, you become like the person who looks in the mirror of the Word to discover the reflection of his face in the beginning. You perceive how God sees you in the mirror of the Word, but then you go out and forget your divine origin.
James 1:23-24 (The Passion Translation)
“but then you go out and forget your divine origin”
Do you know your divine origin?
The woman in the mirror is the new creation God sees you as.
I don’t know about you, but in a world so broken, where we are faced with social media, distraction, bombarded with ideas, noise and what the world says we should be and do… sometimes, it can get a little easy to walk away and forget our divine origin.
What do you see in the mirror?
Who does God say you are?
Let me remind you of your divine origin.
Girlfriend, I pray as you look in that mirror, what stares back at you is the reflection of God. He calls you by name.
Daughter.
Loved.
Brave.
She is a conqueror.
She is filled with the Holy Spirit.
She is strong.
She is mighty.
She is called.
She has been appointed by God.
She is healed.
She is whole.
She is forgiven.
She is God’s divine origin, created in His image.
And… as you walk away from that mirror, may his spirit dwell in you and these words, HIS words, never leave your soul!
He restores my soul
Psalm 23:3
Be blessed! XX
